Husband-and-wife Franchise Owners Lisa and Dave Amundsen have done it again! The duo was featured in Patch.com to spotlight their two soon-to-open Le Macaron locations in the North Atlanta area. The Amundsens will open their first Le Macaron cookie franchise location, a standalone café, at North Point Mall in Alpharetta, GA, a trendy suburb approximately 25 miles north of Atlanta. Lisa and Dave plan to follow up shortly thereafter with a smaller mobile Le Macaron cart at Avalon, an upscale Alpharetta outdoor shopping center featuring a variety of stores and eateries. Both locations will carry 20 flavors of Le Macaron’s signature authentic French macarons along with other European pastries made in our Sarasota, Florida confectionary by our Head Chef, Didier Saba. “We’ve tasted a ton of macarons and the ones we carry at Le Macaron are hands down the best,” Lisa Amundsen said about our namesake product in a recent telephone interview with What Now Atlanta.
The Amundsens, who were recently featured in an article in Atlanta’s Flavors magazine, as well as popular podcast Ash Said It, are generating a great deal of excitement and buzz around Atlanta’s first two Le Macaron locations. Currently, Alpharetta-based fans of Le Macaron French Pastries have to take a whopping four-and-a-half hour drive to visit our Savannah location, but that’s all about to change- this fall, there will be not one but TWO convenient new locations to choose from! In their podcast interview with host Ash Brown, Lisa explained what makes Alpharetta an ideal location for their Le Macaron French Pastries shops. “Alpharetta is about 20 minutes north of the inside-the-city or downtown area [of Atlanta], and it is a booming area. It is huge in growth, on the retail side, on the housing side, and I just think it is the right place to be.”
Amundsen also reveals that the fact that she and Dave live in Alpharetta didn’t hurt either! “We feel blessed that we were able to find a couple great locations here in Alpharetta, and I won’t complain that our commute is going to be beautiful.”
The Amundsens were drawn to the Le Macaron French bakery franchise opportunity by the compelling story of our co-Founders, Rosalie Guillem and Audrey Guillem-Saba, as well as the focus the brand places on using high-quality, natural ingredients to craft our low-calorie, naturally gluten free signature macarons, in addition to our other French pastry offerings. As the Amundsens’ opening day approaches, they are excited to see the response their cookie franchise will generate from Alpharetta shoppers, and look forward to owning and operating two distinctive models in two diverse locations, all without overindulging their sweet tooth for their favorite macarons. “Our challenge will be how to NOT eat all the inventory,” Dave laughs.
