Lisa and Dave Amundsen have been ecstatic about Le Macaron for some time, so much so that they decided to open not one, but two locations in their home community of Alpharetta, Georgia, a trendy suburb of Atlanta. The area shows great potential for growth and the couple is eager to capitalize on this. “Alpharetta is about 20 minutes north of the inside-the-city or downtown area [of Atlanta], and it is a booming area. It is huge in growth, on the retail side, on the housing side, and I just think it is the right place to be,” they remark. Their first location is conveniently located on the first floor of the bustling North Point Mall,, sure to bring in plenty of business for the duo. Plans for their second mobile cart location are already in the works at Avalon,, a nearby upscale shopping center also conveniently located in Alpharetta.
The Amundsens are passionate not just about the Le Macaron business model, but about the macarons themselves. “We’ve tasted a ton of macarons and the ones […] at Le Macaron are hands down the best,” says Lisa. “When they put all these ingredients together, the natural ingredients – the flavor just resonates throughout the macaron. It’s not just one bite and that’s what you get.” It’s exactly this passion for authenticity and traditional culinary methods that we strive to embody at everyone of our Le Macaron locations and in every one of our pastries, something that few others can mimic. Our macarons are made with the highest-quality, natural ingredients and are both low in calories and naturally gluten-free. Flexibility is an essential part of our business model at Le Macaron, and this was a large factor for Lisa and Dave as well. As Lisa and Dave cut the ribbon for their first franchise location this past week, the magic of ambition filled the air.
