Wisconsin Welcomes our French Bakery Franchise

It’s official! Our newest Le Macaron location has finally opened in Brookfield, Wisconsin, representing our first location in the state. A recent article from gmtoday.com highlighted the Grand Opening of our French bakery franchise and it’s bright plans for the future!

Philippe and Malory Guyony’s story is not much unlike that of our Founders, Rosalie and Audrey Guillem. All four are French transplants who wanted to bring some of their culture with them as they started their new lives abroad. Philippe and Malory originally moved to Minneapolis from France for work, eventually settling in Milwaukee. After several years of working as a software engineer in the area, Malory saw that the market wasn’t as large as she would’ve liked and decided that she wanted to take her career in a different direction. Philippe wanted to continue his career as the Vice President of Business Development for Kohler, but was also looking for other investment opportunities on the side. Franchising seemed like the perfect candidate for the two.

After some research, the couple found Le Macaron and was instantly hooked. Our French bakery franchise offered them the perfect work-life balance, it resonated with their French culture, and more than anything provided an exceptional product! Additionally, it allowed Philippe to continue with his current position, while still being a part of their new business. On the other hand, Mallory could have a career that she could feel passionate about and could interact with customers in person on a daily basis, something that she enjoyed. The duo attended a Le Macaron Discovery Day and after meeting Rosalie and Audrey, they were sold.

Fast forward to June of 2020 and the duo was ready to open the doors to their new French bakery franchise. They settled on a 1,031 space within Brookfield Mall, an upscale shopping center right outside of Milwaukee. Their opening represents the 54th Le Macaron location, and meaning that Le Macaron is now operating in 15 states! Philippe and Malory are a perfect match for our brand and we can’t wait to see what the future brings.
